A high level delegation headed by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan & Vice president ICCI including more than 30 dignitaries visited HMC facilities. The ceremony took place in HMC Officers Club, MD HMC Engr Zaheer Shah briefed the delegation about HMC capabilities & mutual cooperation sectors. The delegation also visited Foundry and Forge Works, Mechanical Works and Design Center.

MD HMC presented a detailed machinery & infrastructure upgradation plan. He also explained the progress on running projects. The delegation witnessed the different facilities i.e. Mechanical Works, Foundry & Forge Works and Design Center.Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of new management to turnaround the company and extended his best wishes for the success of revival plan.

HMC' CFO/ Company Secretary name has been included in 100 Corporate Leaders of ICMA Pakistan Year 2020.
Mr. Steinmetz Philippe, Country Director & his Team – Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD), the donor agency of Jaggran-II HPP and Project Director, Power Development Organization (PDO) and FWO team visited HMC on 19 October 2020.
Today PM AJK visited Jagran II project site, communication minister and Secretary accompanied him. He was received by MD, HMC and comd 491 Engrs Gp Brig Iftikhar. PM was briefed on project progress at site. PM was apprised that 63% progress has been achieved, specially completing 2.6 KMs tunnel out 3.8 KMs this season was a significant achievement. Penstock and Hydel gates are also nearing completion and in December will be transported to project site. PM appreciated the efforts and showed his satisfaction over the pace of work. At the end PM was presented the HMC Shield and briefed about HMC capacity building efforts with regards to Hydel Power Projects and Turbine manufacturing. PM and AKJ Govt. was impressed upon to award structures’ and Run of River hydel projects to HMC. PM and communication secretary were also extended the invitation to visit HMC, which they graciously accepted.
Hon. Lt. General Abdullah Dogar HI(M), Chairman HIT Board visited HMC on November 28, 2019 in order to witness HMC’s facilities and capabilities. Both teams discussed the road map of future business cooperation as well.

ISLAMABAD: Following recent observations of the Supreme Court, the Capital Developrncmt Authority (CDA) decided to build a pedestrian bridge on Constitution Avenue near Pak Secretariat to facilitate the citizens. During hearing of an encroach- ment case. tbe apex court observed that there was no facility for pedestrains on constitution avenue. Later, the civic agency awarded the contract to Heavy Mechanical Complex, (HMC). “It is to intimate your quoted rates for the subject arch type pedestrian bridge having a span of 50 meters stand approved by the competent authority.”
“It is the r efore requested to immediately mobilise resources to start construction activities at site. Under intimation to this office and furnish requisite documents for signing of contract agreement” read the CDA letter issued on Jan 3. Meanwhile., the CDA also awarded contract to the HMC to design, engineer, manufacture, supply, erect and install three overhead pedestrian bridges near H-9 Sunday Bazaar on Kashmir liighway, Faisal Avenue ncar Pims and Jinnah Avenue near the G-9 gate to Fatima Jinnah Park. In all six pedesrrian bridges would be installed in the capital.
According to PC-l finallised a few years ago, eight bridges were to be set up in different pans of the city. But only two of them could be installed on Islamabad Highway. However. the sources said during the last one month the Secretariat project was eccp expedited, “Since Supreme Court also took up the issue, we expedited the project and soon the four new bridges would also be installed.
Meanwhile, we are also working on the files of two more bridges which are to be installed on Faisal Avenue near Pims and on IJP Road.” an offidal of the CDA said.
